ABOUT
The Frog Gallery is a travelling, modular exhibition space that moves as art itself can: freely, curiously, and without a fixed form. The Frog Gallery seeks to find a shape that reflects life itself: changeable, open, and ready to leap.
Initiated by Clara Devriendt, The Frog Gallery aims to be a bridge between artists and the public: a place to show, to experiment, and to breathe. It appears where it is needed and grows in dialogue with its surroundings and the artist.
For many artists, there is a tension between creating and selling. Art demands freedom, while selling requires strategy and visibility. From the moment an artist thinks 'commercially,' something of that freedom seems to slip away. The Frog Gallery aims to be a bridge between the world of artists and viewers, where there is room for encounter and experiment. A place unbound by location, where artists can exhibit freely.
The nomadic character of The Frog Gallery is of great importance. A gallery must be able to adapt to the needs of the artist and their audience. Just as a frog only leaps when the moment feels right, so too does The Frog Gallery move: it appears when there is something to show, and disappears again to re-emerge elsewhere.
The Frog Gallery invites both artists and audiences to leap, towards new forms and unexpected places.
